Health and Safety and Accreditations

The business has a robust health, safety and environmental department which is fully supported in all its activities by our Directors, whose goal is for zero accidents at all times.

Our committed and experienced in house team are all members of IOSH, with combined experience of over 40 years, additional support is provided by the training department who deliver on-site support to our workforce for all of their training requirements.

Our Site Personnel are CSCS/CPCS/NPORS qualified and are enrolled in an on-going training programme which is monitored by the training department to ensure compliance, The Site Supervisors hold the SSSTS certification, and Contracts Managers hold the SMSTS certification.

Due to the competencies held (SMAS – HSAS – BSI 9001), the business can act as the Principal Contractor for its clients, giving them the peace of mind to know that their sites are in safe hands, all documentation is compiled in house and is compliant with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

All new sites receive an initial visit from the health, safety and environmental department, this allows the department to set up the health, safety and environmental requirements for the site, and also to provide any advice and guidance to the site based construction team.

The department then carries out regular health, safety and environmental inspections on all of our sites to ensure that they comply with both legislation, and our procedures and processes. A comprehensive report is left with the site manager for reference and guidance, the in-house health, safety and environmental team is on call at all times to provide the business with support and guidance.

The business is one of the founding members of the East Midlands Working Well Together Group, Working Well Together (WWT) is a construction industry initiative put in place to improve health and safety in the construction industry, particularly in the small and micro businesses. Started in 1998, WWT has gone on to become the most successful, health and safety initiative within the construction industry.
